Side view of our house- the grass is lovely and green but grows super quick!! We hope that all our friends and family across the globe are safe and well!  

It's Official! Zev assumed Command as the Commander of the 2nd Logistics Readiness Squadron on July 18 at 1000am. The Change of Command Ceremony was well coordinated and wonderfully delivered, and it was great to meet the people that make up Zev's squadron. It turns out that quite a few people in Zev's squadron have always wanted to visit Australia!!  

This picture was taken just before the commencement of the Change of Command Ceremony. Zev and I are pictured standing next to his boss, Col Duffy, and the 2LRS Commander that Zev took over from, Nathan Mooney and his lovely wife, Chevette. 

Judy, Zev's mum, took this great picture of the sign leading into the Historic district of Barksdale, where Zev and I live. It is such a beautiful area, and Zev and I (Fiona), have been really enjoying going through runs past the historic houses and down the tree lined streets with Live Oaks on either side. Barksdale is a really neat place!! 

Zev's parents, Dave and Judy came to visit for a few days and be a part of Zev's Change of Command ceremony. We had a fun time exploring Shreveport and sampling some Cajun foods.

It's official, school is over. Now, what channel is Oprah on? 

It's official, a Masters Degree of Military Operational Art and Science. A perfect compliment to my Anthropology and Aerospace Science Degrees....now if I could just find a job. 

On our way to the Air Command and Staff College Graduation Ball! Our very good friends Erik and Nancy (on their way to Guam) will be missed. They have been a big part of our year here. 

Zev celebrating his B-day ice cream cake with Fi, Monty, and Lebette. He was still eating it a week later.... 

My arm got a little tired firing the AR in the standing position. I preferred shooting the pistols. My favorite is the 380. 

Zev and I went shooting at the FOP Range in Birmingham, Alabama. It was a lovely day, great drive up to Birmingham, and we had a fun time "competing" with each other target shooting and just having fun trying out different weapons. Zev is showing his prowess in this picture, using the scope on his AR15 rifle. Fi enjoyed hitting the metal targets. 

With our dear friends Chad and Lara Lusher and their lovely daughter, Megan (sitting in the background, in the far left), at "The Daily Grind Cafe" in downtown Prattville. We stopped there for lunch during the Annual Prattville City Fest. 

Fiona entered her first road race on Saturday, May 21st. She ran 8km in the Montgomery Jubilee Fun Run and came 4th in her age group. It was a lovely, sunny Spring day, especially as our friends Chad and Lara Lusher and Keith Balts ran the race too. 

Last weekend, we went to New Orleans with Zev's best friend, Mike, and his lovely girlfriend, Melissa. Here we are standing in front of the riverboat, the "Cajun Queen", on the Riverwalk area of New Orleans. We had a great weekend and were able to experience the best of New Orleans, including awesome Cajun food such as jambalaya, gumbo and coffee and bignets for breakfast at Cafe du Monde.  

Also yesterday, I had afternoon tea with Christine Balts and Sophie Barrett at Gracie's Tea Room, quainte little tea house in the Mulberry District of Montgomery. As you can see, we embraced the tea taking culture with hats and all- it was a fun afternoon! 

Yesterday (April 2nd), Zev and I walked around a part of downtown Montgomery, as part of the 2005 American Heart Association Heart Walk. I walked as part of team Beasley Allen (the law firm I work for), and we are standing in front of the building that I work in. It was fun and we were given free Subways afterwards which Zev liked a lot! Zev helped me raise a great donation for the American Heart Association, and we would like to thank everyone who graciously donated to such a good cause! 

We enjoyed a great International Culture Day at ASCS a few weekends ago, where we got to enjoy the food and culture from many different countries. Here we are with our good friends from Uzbekistan, Ilkhom and Gulshan (and Gary too). Ilkhom was in Zev's seminar last semester (July 04 to Dec 04), and we very much enjoyed "visiting" Uzbekistan...the food was great!!!!!! 

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!! A year ago on Valentine's Day Zev and I got engaged! What a wonderful day and what an amazing, blessed year it has been. We love you all and hope that you have a great year ahead!! 

Today, some Air Command and Staff College (ACSC) Spouses and Air War College Spouses (Zev attends ACSC) were invited to attend the Governor of Alabama's Mansion for Morning Tea with Alabama's First Lady, Mrs. Patsy Riley. It was a fun morning and the group as a whole donated some clothes and supplies for the Women's Shelters of Montgomery. Mrs. Riley was very gracious, and my favourite room was this one, the First Ladies Parlour. Coffee and bikkies were good too........
