Nothing exciting happening around here- just a huge oak tree branch falling in our backyard and flattening our pergola!! Posted by Picasa

Our pergola, which was actually blown away when the remnants of Hurricane Katrina flew past Shreveport this time last year, was WELL AND TRULY flattened by the tree branch falling smack bang on top of it!!! Posted by Picasa

Fourth of July in upstate New York

Zev and Fi were lucky to travel to upstate New York to catch up with family and friends, attend Zev's high school reunion and a family wedding. Upstate New York is gorgeous in the summer time and we had a really lovely time seeing all our family again (and eating grandma York's meatballs and pasta!)

A cute picture of our niece and nephews, Emily, Will and Dave with their great-grandmother (and Zev's grandmother), Anna. Posted by Picasa

While in New York, Zev and Fiona were fortunate to attend the wedding of Zev's cousin, Candi to Mr. Shawn Carr. Posted by Picasa

Our trip on the Buffalo River...... Posted by Picasa

Over Memorial Day long weekend, Zev and I headed up to north-west Arkansas (about a 5.5 hour drive from Shreveport), to canoe and camp along the Buffalo River which runs through the beautiful Ozark Mountains. It was a two day trip, but very relaxing and fun. We finished off the last day in Little Rock with a tour through the new President Clinton Library/ Museum. Zev says that he is still a Republican though ;-) Posted by Picasa
